HI Kirk, Damian here from the course, I thought I'd break the ice and comment on one of your Priest at work shots, it's the third image where the priest is sharp and the guy receiving communion is a little blurred. I quite like the image, it has a nice feel to it, I like the way that the light behind the priest forms a sort of halo, it would have been almost perfect if the piece of light beneath his chin was hidden behind his head, I also like the little old lady kneeling at the pew, would have been nice if the old man in the background wasn't cut off by the priest. Hope my comments help, I haven't developed my own critical skills enough yet to comment more. Interesting what you say about doing the Person at Work in Newport. My tutor on the first photography course I did went to Newport, and we did did Person at Work (about 10 years ago-my pics were shit). Photography certainly isn't a hobby for me, I work 3 days a week and spend the rest of the time trying to make pics (within the bounds of not getting divorced by my wife-I also have a 1 yr old son, so that takes up a fair bit of time). I look forward to chatting with you in the Wimba arms for our year. Philip and I were talking about maybe putting up a discussion to see what night would suit people to meet for an online chat. Cheers, Damian
